The islands are my schoolroom...

I get to do my schoolwork in Hawaii! So here I am, looking all studious...

Just some randomness for ya'll :-)

A bit of the landscape upon arriving:

My bros have been surf-assimilated!!! Aprox. 1 hour after touchdown.

We did some snorkeling up at Black Rock, but haven't jumped off yet, seeing as there are warning signs all over... "Danger" "Danger" "Do Not Climb" "Private Property" "No, you are not allowed to come up here even though we advertised the fact that jumping Black Rock is a great experience for young and old alike, and will change your life forever!!!" Yeah. So, we're planning on seeing if they take those down soon, which they well might. Instead, we did some snorkeling that day, and it was great! Visibility was slightly limited. I think that's the only way Robbie can justify thinking a sea turtle was his cousin. No, I'm kidding, but he did swim within three or so feet of a big one! Turtle, that is, not cousin. So, we got him a turtle t-shirt, just to remind him of the fact that people have been fined and/or dragged out to sea because they messed with one. :-)

More coming!

Aloha, my dearies!

Eh, so I finally bend to peer pressure/smarts and establish a blog! Why? Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I'm outside of my usual media zone. Possibly it is because I wish you (yes, every last one of you!) were here with me to see it all. Or maybe, just maybe, it's because I want to show off how we utterly pwn in the glaring-white-reflective-skin division! But the point is, I'm on here to let y'all know how it's going! Cuz I miss you.

So, without further ado, we begin to post photos (which, by the way, will be SOOC, and not especially artsy, cuz on vacations, that's how we roll! ) Kei, I keep wishing you were here to shoot us. :-)

We took off Monday morning after being driven to the airport by Mr & Mrs E (Thanks so much- that was a great service!) So you know that unfortunate flustered person you see at the airport, the one hurriedly ripping through the bag they're trying to check, shoving various articles of clothing into numerous half-zipped suitcases, trying to get their checked bag to within 0.00000034 ounces of the 25 lb limit? Yes? Well, in case you saw that person, that was me. Apparently, my schoolbooks alone weigh 25.8 lbs. But we got all that squared away, and passed through security successfully. Well, except for the fact that K-dawg's hair gel was confiscated, Buzzsaw's skate shoes were double- and triple-checked, and Ben had to remove his stud belt. Rob and I were pretty much waved right through :-)

But it's oodles of amazingness over here...Ben says hi. Yes, he asked me to mention that right now!!!

Us on the plane:

More to come!!!

PS- I am not planning on doing any linking up to other blogs, but if I mention anyone who has one, and they would like me to, alert me!
